PURPOSE
Obsessed with creating outstanding online travel content, growing customer engagement, and thriving in fast-paced, global B2C ecommerce?We have an exciting opportunity for an expert, passionate, results-driven Content Manager to:
- Help build a world-class content management engine to profitably increase our online discoverability, lead generation, and customer retention in 1 of our core markets: Germany
- Working with the German marketing team, develop and deliver a high-impact Content Strategy, Calendar, and Roadmap for our German website and marketing channels to meet business targets
- Play a key part in aggressively scaling our high-growth ecommerce travel business to the next level
RESPONSIBILITIES
Germany Content Strategy, Calendar and Roadmap- Work with the German marketing team to build the Germany Content Strategy, Calendar and Roadmap for editorial and promotional content across our websites, blogs, social media, and other online/offline marketing channels as required
- Execute a smooth + speedy content creation, improvement, and maintenance process taking SEO requirements into account
- Working with the German marketing team, in consultation with Operations and Technology teams:
- Prepare promotions for the website and newsletters
- Maintain and monitor the Home Page
- Execute the creative development, production, QA, and go-live schedule of high-quality multi-media content (text, imagery, videos, digital assets, etc.)
- Deliver high-impact content as part of a coordinated onsite merchandising plan for new features, products, events, deals and promotions
- Input into the design/layout of onsite content blocks, blog pages, marketing landing pages, social media pages and other online/offline marketing assets as required
- Recommend content management optimizations to increase discoverability, engagement
- Analyze and report on weekly/monthly Germany content-related discoverability/browsing/reactivity levels and CX pain points and successes
Continuous Test and Learn Approach
- Introduce continuous A/B testing for content strategy optimization across channels
- Analyze and scale what works - and have the confidence to cut what doesn’t
Forecasting & Budget Management
- Work with the German marketing team to set content management goals for your markets
- Grow content management metrics to efficiently scale our German customer base
Performance Management
- Help set and track growth metrics and quarterly OKRs (Objectives + Key Results) for your role
- Provide detailed reporting and data analysis for maximum visibility into performance vs targets
- Identify Content Management pain-points and pragmatically improve upon non-performing areas
Collaboration
- Earn stakeholder confidence quickly and exert positive influence
- Form strong partnerships with other Marketing colleagues, local Country Heads, Cruise Product Management, Commercial, Sales/Service, and Technology teams for an aligned content management approach
- Drive regular exchange of insights and learnings across the team
- Build awareness of ‘content excellence’ considerations across the business (right pricing, product selection, availability, UX/CX, high conversion propensity, tone-of-voice, positioning)
REQUIREMENTS
- First years relevant work experience in global online content management - travel/cruise sector experience a definite plus
- Strong experience executing the end-to-end content management process in an e-commerce business
- Proven success delivering business growth using content optimization by partnering with/influencing others
- Good understanding of core website traffic-driving mechanisms (email, SEO, SEA, Display, Social Media, etc.) with demonstrated experience using content to optimize them
- Strong knowledge of merchandising and online customer behavior metrics
- Next to your entrepreneurial mindset, you have superb communication and analytical skills
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- A keen and curious nature, with the ability to push back and challenge conventional wisdom
- Expert skills using Content Management Systems, content creation/production tools (HTML, XML, Adobe Creative Cloud -- SQL is a plus), and analysis tools including Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics, and Tableau or similar
- Excellent writer with impeccable grammar skills - strong attention to detail is a must
- Fluent in German as a native speaker (verbal and written) – additional fluency in English and/or Dutch is an asset
- Degree/Diploma in Digital Marketing or related field is desirable
